High Security Modules
Alarm module
Our key management systems and locker systems can generate over 20 different alarms. Some alerts are identical for all systems, some are respective system dependent, e.g., whether locker, key cabinet with steel door or with rolling door.
The alerts listed below are either already integrated into the system or must be activated by installation of corresponding alert contacts.

Alert report – Pop-Up-Window: The current alarms can always be shown if the function “show alert report” is activated. In this case, alert reports always appear immediately and clearly in a pop-up-window.
Alert list – alarm protocol: For a quicker overview the filter settings can be set to show only incoming alerts in the protocol. Comments can be attached to the alarm massages, e.g., “false alarm” or “forwarded to ...”..
Alert notification – e-mail dispatch:
Also with closed ecos applications, the automatic e-mail dispatch for the alerts in the ecosCom service can be activated (see also communications center ecosCom). On appearance of an alert an e-mail is immediately sent to the persons responsible.
Fire brigade module
The fire brigade module is used in conjunction with our product group ecos secure. It ensures that when a fire alarm occurs, the fire brigade has access to the necessary keys as fast as possible. In the instance of a fire alarm, the key of the affected fire-circuit is indicated and automatically released.
The fire brigade module, with a terminal assignment equal to the maximum number of slots of the key cabinet used (from ten to several hundred fire-circuits), is activated in parallel with the fire alarm system. The door opens through:
- Personal identification with card or PIN
- Fire alarm signal or fire alarm system without personal identification
- Fire alarm and follow up personal identification
With the optional slot supervision, a check can be made as to whether a removed property key has been returned to its slot again after use.
Using the personal identification, even the person responsible is known and can automatically be sent a return request for the specific key when time limits are exceeded (freely adjustable– see compulsory return ecosCom).
Control center module
Our Control center module is available for in-house emergency call centers or security company exchanges. Incoming emergency information can:
- Automatically be routed by the ecos Control center module to the respective system
- Be manually entered into the Control center module by an authorised person
At this time the respective keys are assigned to the incoming alert. The responsible employee identifies himself, selects the respective alert number (only needed for several simultaneously incoming alerts) and all keys required for the alert are indicated and unlocked.
Alarm contacts
Beside the alarms provided by the systems, up to 4 external alarm zones may be activated over potential-free alarm contacts.
Input contacts
- Standard are 4 input contacts, up to 4 potential-free contacts as an opener or closer can be activated by the customer.
- There is an optional possibility with the key management system, in case of an alert, the keys can be controlled directly by the alert or fire alarm system, releasing from one to the maximum number of slots.
Output contacts
In case of an alarm, up to 4 contacts may be used to inform the security center and/or the police. For this purpose several alarms can be combined in groups:
- As non-critical alerts, e.g., door open too long or 3 failed authorisation attempts, which are only reported to the security center
- or also as critical alerts, e.g., door forced open or cabinet or wall removed, which are forwarded to the police.
Lock circuits
For automated increase of security in core areas of companies or organisations, like government ministries, the military or the penal system, sluice circuits can be instituted. In this situation, information from the locker- or the key management systems is transmitted either directly from the system or the database to the door controls and admission controlling systems.
- The electronic reader of the isolation unit is directly connected with the ecos Systems processor and the door interlock. After authentication of the user, the door interlock is only released after all objects in his possession, such as keys, laptops or weapons have been returned.
- In a further variant when isolating access areas; In that an entrance card or key for one area must be present before the key or identification medium for a different area is assigned.
- For larger sites with multiple access possibilities and complex admission controls, a direct data interchange, between the ecos administrative system and the application program, controlling access queries, the status of the respective employee and allows, or refuses access.
