ecos keysafe – A strong design that “hits the spot”

It’s so simple!

The ecos keysafe is a stand-alone system that needs no connection to a PC. Total system and data management is controlled using the touchscreen display.

No familiarity with IT processes is necessary, also the system does not need to be integrated into the existing IT infrastructure. This avoids protracted tuning processes.

The highly secure construction allows the ecos key safe to be installed in areas accessible to the public.

The option "Outdoor" allows the installation in outdoor areas. The option makes the system splashproof and functional within a temperature range of -40° to + 60 °C.

The way it works

User identifies himself at the cabinet. Door opens automatically following successful verification. The keys, individually authorized per user, are unlocked and indicated by a blue LED. The key may now be removed. On return the user re-identifies himself and simply inserts the key into the proper slot.

Ready To Go

The startup procedure has four steps:

• Connect power
• Attach the key to an ecos ID-Safety Plug with the associated security seals
• Update the key name in the integrated database. (e.g. “Conference room“ or “Company car“)
• Set up individual users with authorization (e.g. employee, janitor, security personnel)

Everything under control

All key movements are seamlessly and permanently logged. Who has removed which key may be ascertained at any time through use of the display. The exact time of removal and return can also be queried in the same manner. Optionally, all data can be imported via USB-stick directly to a spreadsheet, for example Excel® for evaluation.

Security at the highest level

The compact steel cabinet with double bolt locking mechanism provides protection against outside attack. All critical electronic components and corresponding cables are safely stored internally which provides protection against manipulation and vandalism. Through individual locking of the key plugs only those duly authorized have access to specific keys. The local optical and audible alarm and the possibility of alarm activation integration with a higher-level alarm system provides extra protection for the system. In case of a mains failure, the integrated battery will supply the system with energy for at least 4 hrs.
